SERVICES

At Free It Up Dance, we offer a range of dance and fitness classes, and are the only school in Australia specialising in the Caribbean Carnival style dance "Soca". Private lessons and courses are available for those wanting learn to dance and move their hips, hens and party classes for a fun memorable activity, and studio hire for those wanting a space to practice and rehearse.

DANCE  & FITNESS CLASSES

Get your hips moving and waistlines rolling with Soca dance. Build your fitness and flexibility through a range of group exercise classes, including circuit and stretch courses.

HENS / PRIVATE CLASSES

Experience Caribbean dance, throw on some Carnival feathers, and test your skills at limbo. Create fun memorable experiences for your hens, team building or private event

STUDIO HIRE

Studio Hire is available for groups, or individuals. wanting to practice or host classes.

MEET YOUR LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Jamie Trahanas is the lead instructor at Free It Up Dance Australia. She is a  certified fitness professional with  Fitness Australia and has extensive dance teaching and performing experience across styles such as Latin and Caribbean dance.

 

She is the only Australian instructor having performed  alongside Soca artist Machel Montano, and numerous Caribbean and African artists during Trinidad and Tobago Carnival festivities.

 

Jamie has established herself as a leading soca dance instructor and advocate for soca music both in Australia and overseas. She  is currently focussed on teaching and raising awareness of Soca and the wonderful fitness benefits that come with it! To have people connect with their bodies, their waistlines and build their confidence, all while having fun doing so!
