Service Description

Soca dance intermediate is a Caribbean dance course for those wanting to extend their Soca dancing with dance tutorials The course focuses on technique, performance elements, and expression. Best suited for intermediate + level. What you will learn: ✯ Learn the fun, energetic dance and music of Caribbean Carnival known as Soca. ✯ Learn Caribbean Soca dance routines and choreographies. ✯ Learn how to move to the rhythm, get that “Caribbean” groove”, master hip movements and body isolations “wining”. What you will get: ✯ Expert tuition by experienced dance instructor and performer Jamie T who has performed at many local festivals and in the Caribbean with Elle InfiniTT, alongside artists such as Machel Montano, Charly Black and Patoranking. ✯ A focus on technique and choreographed sequences – with an emphasis on wining (i.e. hip rotations), Caribbean dance movements, body isolations, and more.

Cancellation Policy

CLASSES/COURSES: Multi-week courses are sold as consecutive weeks, and are valid from the first week. Missed weeks are not transferable to other courses. No refunds offered for classes not attended STUDIO HIRE: Note - For the period of February 2024 bookings must be made at least 48hours in advance, no same day bookings permitted. At other times please book with 24hrs notice, for emergency booking requests < 24hrs please email/whatsapp +6140113884. Studio hire can be rescheduled with 24hrs notice, subject to availability. Refunds are not available. For recurring hires please email info@freeitupdance.com to discuss. If you are hiring the studio for the purpose of teaching a class you must email a copy of your public liability / dancers insurance - failure to do so may result in your booking being cancelled. | GENERAL: Covid safe restrictions are in effect and you agree to abide by social distancing and other requirements, if you attend the studio with a fever, or cold/flu like symptoms you will be requested to leave the studio | Please treat the studio and those around you with respect. No food permitted in the studio | There may be times where photos or videos of classes are taken and used for social media and business purposes, by choosing to book you are agreeing to and consent to the fact you may be included in photos/videos utilised by Free It Up Dance. Your agree you are fit and well and are able to participate in dance activities.
